FAQ
Why from 30 months?
The Floating swimsuit is suitable for children from 30 months and 13kg. Indeed, before 30 months, the child has not had time to develop gross motor skills of the legs, arms, and head. This motor skill is important because, without it, the child will not be autonomous in the water.
Why only sleeves in size 2?
The swimsuits in size 2 are the smallest size at Plouf (13 to 15 kg). The sleeves contain additional FibreAir® to optimize buoyancy for the smallest weights.
How to choose the right size?
Make sure of your child's weight and follow the size guide below:
Size 2: 13 to 15 kg
Size 3: 15 to 17 kg
Size 4: 17 to 19 kg
Size 5: 19 to 21 kg
Size 6: 21 to 24 kg
If your child's weight is at the junction of two weight ranges, do not hesitate to take the larger size.
This does not affect buoyancy as long as the child's weight matches
This allows you to keep the swimwear longer
What are the advantages compared to other products?
Our Floating swimsuit is certified to the European standard, the child cannot remove it alone. It does not slip, does not turn over, it is comfortable, reusable, no need to inflate it or buy cartridges. Moreover, it places the child in a horizontal position, which encourages them to use their arms and legs to swim independently. That's why it is considered a Swim Learning Aid.
How to use the Floating swimsuit for the first time?
The Floating swimsuit is to be used under the supervision of a competent adult.
You must be able to stand, your child not. Hold both their hands, you are facing them.
Reassure and secure the child. Teach them to breathe calmly in the water. Indeed, the air in their lungs complements the buoyancy of the FibreAir® inside the swimwear. Ask them to kick their legs IN the water. Release one hand so they start to stabilize in the water. Ask if they feel their body floating. When you feel the child is comfortable, let go of one hand after the other
Explain that thanks to their hands, they can steer. Always stay next to your child. Provide them with confidence through your presence and congratulate them, as it is by discovering their environment that children become confident.
What is the safety standard?
The NF EN 13138-1 standard is the European safety standard. It certifies "buoyancy aids for swimming learning".

Top swimsuit
I discovered the brand recently and I recommend it 200%!
The jersey is of very good quality. My son is 2 years old and he now jumps into the pool while floating extremely well.
As parents, we are reassured (and happy!)
