Sandy Niddam or the renewal of Plouf!

Sandy Niddam, director of Plouf!

An international journey

Graduated from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG) in Paris, Sandy Niddam traveled to the four corners of the world during her studies in management and marketing. Holder of a bachelor's degree in business management from ICU University in Tokyo, she was also trained at St John University in New York to obtain a second bachelor's degree in business management.

At 39, after a thrilling career in marketing and management within large international groups, she decided to take on a new challenge. Then married and mother of two young children, she made the radical decision to quit her job. Driven by this phrase engraved in her mind: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."

Sandy takes over the project of the brand Plouf, initiated by her father, and reconnects at the same time with her very first field of choice: marketing strategy. To do so, she decides to update her knowledge, particularly in digital marketing, and resumes her studies in 2019.

A crisis context

It was without counting on the COVID crisis! Sandy Niddam, while being confined and taking care of her two children, obtained a Master 1 in 360 digital communication, and a Master 2 specializing in e-commerce at SUPDEWEB, a school of the Media School group. Because for her: "Challenges make life interesting; overcoming them gives it meaning."

It has been since that day that Sandy Niddam officially relaunched the brand Plouf with a complete redesign of its website. She uses her newly acquired skills in digital marketing, combined with her solid experience in management. She works tirelessly to allow the family brand to rise from its ashes.

With her Master 2 in hand, she is introduced to Cédric Messina, founder and CEO of My Coach, who supports her in her development as an entrepreneur and takes on a mentoring role for her. In 2021, as she grows exponentially, the brand Plouf becomes a member of Nice Start Up. It is an association in the French Tech Côte d'Azur momentum bringing together selected Nice-based startups.

Thanks to this wonderful springboard, Sandy gets acquainted with the Start-Up ecosystem and quickly joins the new program "Women Entrepreneurs". With her entry into French Tech Feminine, Sandy Niddam and Plouf continue to develop faster than ever, pursuing their quest for security and innovations.

A challenge met

The brand Plouf then benefits from a new vision. All the incredible and unique innovations of Plouf are now gathered under one single banner. A unifying Umbrella Statement: “Innovation at the service of safety, fun, and comfort in the water.”

In 2022, the flagship innovation of Plouf, the Floating swimsuit for children, made Plouf the official supplier of the French Swimming Federation. This Floating swimsuit for children is also recognized as a drowning prevention aid device through swimming learning, as defined by standard 13 138-1. This status allowed it to enter the Ministry of Sports program.

Entering the federal world was an honor and a significant recognition in the history of Sandy Niddam and Plouf. It is indeed in the brand’s DNA to be a pioneer since it was Plouf, who, in 2001, supported and backed the implementation of the European standard for buoyancy aid for swimming learning. The NF EN 13138-1 standard is therefore entirely based on the Floating swimsuit Plouf, which obviously ticks all the boxes.

Today Plouf is developing faster and faster, and the goal for 2023 is already set: to conquer the US market. With Plouf, Sandy Niddam makes safety accessible to everyone, and makes learning to swim fun and enjoyable for both young and old.

Plouf! It’s beautiful! It’s safe!
