From what age should a Floating swimsuit Plouf be used?
The Floating swimsuit Plouf is suitable for children from 30 months (13kg) up to around 7 years old (27kg).
From 30 months, your child begins to discover water: this is what is called aquatic familiarization. This is the period when they will begin their first immersion games (splashing, bubbles, etc.) and thus gain confidence in the water (an essential step).
From age 5/6 (the recommended age to begin learning), your little one can gently start to learn the basics of swimming and make their first swimming movements.
How to choose the right Floating swimsuit?
At Plouf, the main criterion for choosing the size is based on your child's weight.
The quantity of FibreAir® integrated into the swimwear is adjusted according to the size (and therefore the weight) to guarantee suitable buoyancy assistance. This system is part of the European safety standards that must be complied with.
